according to Digital currency interchange startup Coinbase has reported the appointment of a Facebook executive to its board of directors. In joining the board, David Marcus, vice president of messaging products at Facebook, going to bring years of trial in building large-scale mobile products, according to a Coinbase statement posted yesterday. Previously president of on-line payment giant PayPal, Marcus told that he has been "fascinated with cryptocurrencies since 2012," and that the tech "has the possibility to materially change the lives of people around the world." He joined Paypal after his own mobile payment startup Zong was purchased up with eBay for almost a quarter of a bn dollars in 2011.
