Most of those found guilty shared the vidimus a few times, however there are too some who have done it hundreds of times. If convicted, they face possible prison sentences and would be shut out of certain professional, like teaching, reports Bloomberg.

The tip-off came from Facebook itself, that went to the US authorities, who in turn informed Europol. The ages of the people found guilty range from 15 to 20+, and about 800 of them are male. Most shared the vidimus just a few times, while others shared it several 100 times. The settlement might unlock the floodgates for similar claims: a libel lawyer based in Belfast uncovered that Facebook is facing several lawsuits over revenge porn.
