Facebook Targets Teens With "Lifestage" App (FB)

Facebook, Inc. (FB) has no intention of losing its "cool" factor.To prevent its young users from defecting to competing platforms such as Snapchat, the social media giant announced plans Wednesday to launch a new standalone app called "Lifestage," targeting teenagers or people between the ages of 13 and 21.The app, which is available in app stores, will be separate from Facebook and doesn't even require a Facebook account.
