Three Cleveland women ran nationwide Facebook racket, indictment says

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Three Cleveland women ran a Facebook racket that defrauded hundreds of moms around the country out of hundreds of thousands of dollars, according to prosecutors. The accused masterminds started the Facebook page, titled "Zee's Place," to target suburban mothers who were in search of bargains, the indictment says. The customers paid for their orders with money orders, payment apps or gift cards, and received the items with no problem, the indictment says. The duo recruited three other women to pass the proceeds form Zee's Place orders through their bank accounts to Sbeih-Maddox and St. John-Stevenson, according to the indictment. When word-of-mouth got around that Zee's Place was not filling orders, Sbeih-Maddox deleted all of her personal online social media accounts, the indictment says.
